I am devoted to treating your pets like they are my own; with respect and ensuring they are happy and needs are met.
Katie, Pet Care & Adventures Founder
I have been passionate about animals since a young age and after 5 years working as a chef I needed to get out of the chef industry, it was not at all suited to me and it was effecting my physical and mental health. I decided to look into setting up a pet care business as being around animals makes me feel relaxed and happy. This lead to Pet Care & Adventures being started up by myself in July 2018. I enjoy it so much I do not see it as a job and look forward to spending time with pets I have grown close too.

Growing up I was around hamsters, rabbits, gerbils and a cat. I never had the opportunity to own a dog, such a loyal companion. When staying with my Aunt and Uncle, I would help care for their 4 dogs and 3 cats. Once I reached the right age, I would go and pet sit while they were away on holiday. I made sure they had sufficient food and water, got the exercise and walks they needed, this often involved a game of Frisbee or hide and seek, giving the cats cuddles or pretending my hand was a mouse. I’d often sit with them and give them affection while going about my daily tasks.
One of my favorite things to do is massage behind a dog’s ear, it always seems to put them into a state of bliss and relaxation... everything a dog deserves! I enjoy the outdoors and going on adventures up hills, through forests and I’d be keen on taking your dog on an adventure with me!

I am currently undergoing an online canine behavioural course, as I'm keen to learn about why some dogs behave the way they do and how to handle/mange it while they are under my care. There are many courses I would like to take on and also shadow a qualified dog trainer / behaviourist to gain hands on practical experience, alongside the knowledge.
I have experience looking after dogs, cats and chickens. Here is a list of my favourite breeds of dogs that I have been lucky enough to get experience walking and caring for.
